World Trade Center – Colombo, Sri Lanka

The World Trade Centre (also known as WTC Colombo or WTCC) is the tallest completed building in Sri Lanka. Standing over 152 m from the ground, it ranks as the second tallest twin tower in South Asia. The WTCC was opened on 12 October, 1997 by the former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga. The tower consists of two identical 40-storey towers, the east and the west towers.

Located within the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, it is the best preserved example of a vatadage in the country
