The World Trade Centre (also known as WTC Colombo or WTCC) is the tallest completed building in Sri Lanka. Standing over 152 m from the ground, it ranks as the second tallest twin tower in South Asia. The WTCC was opened on 12 October, 1997 by the former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga. The tower consists of two identical 40-storey towers, the east and the west towers.

The Polonnaruwa Vatadage is an ancient structure dating back to the Polonnaruwa period of Sri Lanka. It is believed to have been built during the reign of Parakramabahu I to hold the tooth relic of the Buddha, or during the reign of Nissanka Malla to hold the alms bowl used by the Buddha. Located within the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, it is the best preserved example of a vatadage in the country

Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is located in close proximity to the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka.
