Fernhill Palace was the erstwhile summer residence of the Maharaja of Mysore. The first Fernhills bungalow was built in 1844 as a private residence in the hill station Ooty in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Its carved wooden bargeboards and ornamental cast iron give it that characteristic appearance. The Palace is spread out over 50 acres of green lawns, stylized gardens and dense woods with spectacular views of terraced tea gardens and lush verdant valleys.

Lalitha Mahal Palace – Mysore

The Lalitha Mahal is the second largest palace in Mysore. It is located near the Chamundi Hills, east of the city of Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka. The palace was built in 1921 at the orders of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore for the exclusive stay of the then Viceroy of India. The palace was fashioned on the lines of the St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and is one of the imposing structures of the Mysore city.

Situated in the Western Ghats, Banatheertham is part of the Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and lies above the Karayar dam. A 20-minute boat ride takes one from the dam across the lake. A 10-minute trek takes one to the magnificent waterfalls. Unlike Courtallam, which is season-oriented, the Banatheertham fall is perennial, with December and January being the peak season

Hidimba Devi Temple – Manali

Hidimba Devi Temple is located in Manali, a very popular hill station in the State of Himāchal Pradesh in North India. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground, which was worshiped as an image of the deity. The structure was built in the year 1553.
