About the location (from here):
The parish church of Götzens, constructed 1772-1775, is a true sacral gem southwest of Innsbruck, by the road to Axams. It is said to be the most beautiful rococo church in Tirol. The arrangement of the five altars, one behind the other, is reminiscent of the rococo-style design of theater sets. Light, delicate hues, colorless windows and rich stuccowork by the Wessobrunn School lend the church a cheerful airiness despite its exceedingly pompous interior. The master-builder was the farmer, stucco plasterer and master mason Franz Singer. The high altar painting was done by Austrian Franz Anton Maulbertsch, who became known for his unusual style. Several times a year this architectural jewel, which has fantastic acoustics, is used for first-rate concerts.
