Not sure why the film crew selected this church out of the thousands and thousands of churches that one can find in the United Kingdom. It sure does have a history of its own but then which couple of centuries old church doesn’t? The reason we decided to document this location is different though : it was used in a recently released movie ‘Madrasapattinam’ which what many call is a movie that one gets when you mix Lagaan with Titanic. And this one was an easy find as the director had taken the pains to thank the church in the opening credits of the movie.

About the location (from Wiki):
Hedgerley is a village and civil parish in South Bucks district in Buckinghamshire, England. The parish is 1.5 miles west of Gerrards Cross and 3 miles south-east of Beaconsfield. The parish has incorporated the formerly separate parish of Hedgerley Dean since 1934 (which was once a hamlet in parish of Farnham Royal). Above the village on the hillside is the Church of England parish church of Saint Mary the Virgin that was designed by the Gothic Revival architect Benjamin Ferrey and built in 1852.
