Our modus operandi has been that whenever we watch a movie, we try to document all the locations that were used in the movie which we were able to find out. So that is the reason for the ‘My Name is Khan’ overdose, our 3rd location from the movie in the past 1 week. We didn’t take note of this location while we were watching the movie. Instead, when we were searching for locations after we were done watching the movie, we came across some forum where it was being said that the filming of the movie took place at Dolores Park. Then, we went back and saw the movie again to determine the exact scene where the location was used. Being such a popular park in the Bay Area with gorgeous views of the SFO downtown to boot, we are sure that this location would have been used in other movies that were shot in the Bay Area. We will add them to the list as and when we find out.

About the location (from Wiki):
Mission Dolores Park commonly called Dolores Park – and formerly known as Mission Park is a San Francisco, California, city park located in the neighborhood of Mission Dolores, at the western edge of the Mission District, which lies to the east of the park. To the west of the park is a hillside referred to as “Dolores Heights” or considered a part of the Castro neighborhood. Dolores Park is two blocks tall by one block wide, based on the configuration of north-south and east-west blocks in that part of San Francisco. It is bounded by 18th Street on the north, 20th Street to the south, Dolores Street to the east and Church Street to the west. The northern end of Dolores Park is located directly across the street from Mission High School.

Dolores park offers several features: several tennis courts and a basketball court, a soccer field, a children’s playground, and a dog play area. The southern half of the park is also notable for its views of the Mission district and downtown; the park also affords a striking view of the San Francisco Bay and the East Bay hills.
