Along with the Thousand Pillar Temple that we documented last week, this is another temple in the vicinity of Warangal that has been used as a filming location in more movies than one. The story behind us finding this location is one reason why running this site is so much fun. So, while searching for something on Flickr, we come across a snap of Sneha at this temple shot during the filming of a movie. Then, last week, while we were watching the NenjathilE NenjathilE song below, we notice Sneha in the same blue saree. There, we had found out one more location in our ever expanding database.
About the location (from Wiki):
Ramappa Temple also known as the Ramalingeswara temple, is located 77 km from Warangal, the ancient capital of the Kakatiya dynasty, 157 km from Hyderabad in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. It lies in a valley at Palampet village of Venkatapur Mandal, in erstwhile Mulug Taluq of Warangal district, a tiny village long past its days of glory in the 13th and 14th centuries. An inscription in the temple dates it to the year 1213 and said to have been built by a General Recherla Rudra, during the period of the Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva.
Movies shot at this location:
