Old Sydney Town – New South Wales, Australia

This is a special location of for us in that it took a lot of searching from our side to find this location. We knew that the Telephone ManipOl song from Indian was shot in Sydney, cue the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. So, we were sure that the 2nd stanza of the song should have been shot somewhere near Sydney. After a lot of spending time on attractions in Sydney, we arrived at this location. The other thing special about the location is that the picture above has been taken in the same angle that the cinematographer had used in the song (at the 4:54 min mark in the video below). Looks like visitors to this place get to relive the colonial past by wearing a gown designed during those days and Manisha actually wears the same gown in the song as well.
About the location (from Wiki):
Old Sydney Town was a small open air museum which operated from 1975 until 2003 in the town of Somersby, near Gosford New South Wales, Australia. The park was intended to be a living tribute to Australia’s colonial past. The park was opened in 1975 by Gough Whitlam. It was developed by architect Frank Fox with the help of the Federal Government and the Bank of NSW. The Wran state government took over the federal investment shortly after the Fraser government took power at the end of 1975. Since the park closed to the public it has been let for movie shoots.
