This post was almost like a mini-project, as in, it took us more than 2 weeks to find out all these locations. So, we decided to come up with a different type of post for this one. Instead of doing a separate post for each location in this song, we decided that we will do 1 consolidated post with all the locations that these 2 songs were filmed in.
We knew that Toronto was the place where the foreign portions of Panchathanthiram were filmed in. So, it was just a matter of watching those 2 songs umpteen number of times (with more number of pauses during those times) and coming up with the names of the buildings where the songs were filmed in. It was mostly good guess work which led us to the actual names of many of these buildings. We first came up with the list of the most popular buildings in Toronto and from then on, as always, it was just a matter of using Flickr and Wikipedia to come up with the actual name and a good picture of the location.
So, here are the locations where these 2 songs – EnnOda kaadhal endru and Kaadhal Piriyaamal - from Panchathanthiram were filmed in:

the youtube intro showing a man in kilt is in fact shot in downtown U of T -St.George campus (main). The shot where Kamal leans on bench overlooking the skyline was shot in Toronto Islands. Many Hollywood films use Toronto as backdrop for NY!!
