Another filming location from a Mani Rathnam movie though he isn’t the first one to use the location in a movie. This broken bridge is in Adyar (Chennai) and from what we have seen so far, this location has been used in 2 movies. One look at the location and the surrounding views one gets from this bridge makes us understand why this is a preferred filming location of our directors. Another indication that this location is pretty popular (in spite of this being a ‘broken’ one) is the fact that this bridge has a Wikipedia entry.

About the location:
Broken bridge is derelict pedestrian bridge located at the mouth of the Adyar River in Chennai, India. The bridge was built to facilitate the movement of fishermen from Santhome beach to Elliot’s beach over the mouth of the Adyar river. The bridge spans across the Adyar estuary bordering the backend of the Theosophical Society. The bridge partly collapsed after due to strong currents of the river during a particular monsoon, and was later never repaired.
